McKinsey to pay $78 million in US opioid settlement with health plans

Consulting firm McKinsey & Co has agreed to pay $78 million to resolve claims by U.S. health insurers and benefit plans that it fueled an epidemic of opioid addiction through its work for drug companies including OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma.

COVID-19: India records biggest surge in cases in 7 months; active caseload at 4,091

COVID-19 in the last 24 hours also claimed five lives in the country. Health Ministry data shows two fatalities were reported from Kerala and one each from Maharashtra, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The country had recorded 865 new cases on May 19.
