India advises against travel to Congo, Uganda, South Sudan amid WHO Ebola emergency

After the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, India has advised citizens to avoid non-essential travel to the affected African nations and neighbouring South Sudan. The outbreak involves the Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus, for which no approved vaccine or treatment currently exists.
