In a letter written to the PMO, he said that during Covid, a significant number of people who needed external oxygen support acquired a fungal infection and lost their eyesight. Hence, he stressed on ensuring and prioritising the quality of medical gases and to conduct mandatory inspections of facilities that produce medical oxygen and other medical gases.
