DHR's 100-Day Report: Startups support and rare disease drug plans for India

Among its key achievements the Department of Health Research (DHR) has enlisted creation of ‘Med-Tech Mitra’, a platform to help start-ups and private players by assisting in securing ‘clinical validation’ and ‘upscaling’ services; Implementation of ‘National One Health Mission for Pandemic Preparedness’; upgrading ‘six Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (VRDLs) into Integrated Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (IRDLs) to cover larger domain of infectious diseases.’
