The Narayana Health group, run by cardiac surgeon Dr Devi Shetty, has applied to Irdai for a licence to operate a health insurance company. In order to lead Narayana One Health, the group hired Ravi Vishwanath, a veteran of the insurance business. At HDFC Ergo, Vishwanath was formerly in charge of the health and accident businesses.
