Tripura became the first among the small states and the 12th state in the country to have CMJAY, a universal health insurance scheme on the pattern of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to provide coverage of Rs 5 lakh to each family per annum. However, it has four exceptional features that made the scheme unique, said Chief Minister Dr Saha while addressing the occasion.

India records 74 new COVID-19 cases
India has recorded a single-day rise of 74 new COVID-19 infections and the number of active cases of the disease in the country stands at 871, according to Union Health Ministry data on Monday. No new deaths due to the disease were reported in 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.

Physical activity not enough to balance risk of heart disease from sugary drinks, study finds
Following around 1 lakh adults over a period of 30 years, the researchers led by Harvard School of Public Health, US, found that the WHO-recommended 150 minutes of weekly exercise, aimed to protect against cardiovascular disease, were not enough to counter the adverse effects of sugar-sweetened beverages.

WHO issues warning against sugar substitutes used by diabetics, weight watchers
